A genius from the age of three, a motivational speaker, a good writer and a living wonder and internationally acclaimed mathematician Shakuntala Devi, an inspiration for many. Shakuntala Devi has spelled bound and challenged the world  with her unique talents.

Shakuntala Devi was born in a well known family of a brahmin priests in Bangalore, She received her early lessons of mathematics from her grandfather. By the age of 5 she was recognized as a child prodigy and expert in complex mental arithmetic.

A year later Shakuntala Devi demonstrated her talents to a large assembly of students and professors of the university of mysore. Hailed as an authentic heroines of our time her heats are recorded in the Guinness book of world.

She has made an international headlines for out performing and out computing the most sophisticated computers in the world. 'Yet  she dislikes to be called as a human computer'. She strongly believes that any human mind is better than computer.

Her love for no's has taken her to places. Shakuntala Devi has authored many books specifically the world famous book ' the joy of no's where she shares different ways of solving mental calculations.

Other books are puzzle to puzzle you,  the book of no's, mathability. Shakuntala Devi was born on 4 Nov 1929. She is an Indian writer and a human calculator.

Since appearing in the BBC show she became a household name. Her childhood was very normal. Her father rebelled against becoming a priest in the temple and join the circus. Shakuntala Devi was also the one to first study on homosexuality in India in 1977.

The world of homosexual.  In a documentary called for straights only by Vismita Gupta Smith , Shakuntala devi talked about her marriage to a homosexual man. She was married to an IAS officer from Kolkata.

They divorced in 1979.
